The logo to the 100th anniversary of Kemerovo with flames will change after a fire in the shopping center
The Kemerovo authorities, after a fire in the Winter Cherry shopping and entertainment center, supported the proposal of residents to change the previously approved logo for the 100th anniversary of the city, where its age is marked as flames, RIA Novosti reported on Friday in the city administration.
After the fire in the shopping center "Winter Cherry" in social networks began to discuss the relevance of such a logo. Most Internet users agreed that the “flaming” logo should be replaced.
"Yes, we support this initiative, and now a public opinion poll has started on this issue," said the representative of the mayor's office.
According to him, the residents themselves will decide whether a new version of the official emblem of the holiday is necessary. Also, with the involvement of the public, the question of what a memorable place will be organized instead of a burnt shopping center is being solved.Online voting has already begun on the official website of the city administration.
Kemerovo will celebrate the centenary of its foundation on June 12, 2018. A year earlier, the authorities held a competition for the development of the anniversary logo, which is planned to be used in street design and souvenir products. In February 2017, the jury selected the winner. The official emblem of the holiday was then recognized by the work of the seventh grade schoolgirl of school No. 58 and the art teacher of the same school.
