RULES OF LIFE. Elena Belozorova

Today we introduce you to the rules of life of the photographer Elena Belozorova. Elena shoots landscapes with Nikon D800, Nikon D300 cameras and AF-S DX ZOOM-NIKKOR 17-55mm f / 2.8G lenses IF-ED, AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f / 2.8G ED, AF-S VR ZOOM-NIKKOR 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6G IF-ED, AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f / 4G ED VR, AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f / 2.8G ED. Admire her amazing pictures.

How many can remember, always sought to break out of limits, to see - and what is there for ...As a kid in kindergarten, he secretly escaped from the playground, squeezing through the fence slot to the blossoming apple trees. The first-grader hobbled 6 km along the snowy virgin soil to enter the fabulous winter forest with trepidation. A student, barely dragging a heavy canvas backpack, made her way through the windbreak to touch the warm, rough side of the rock for the first time. A lab technician for money saved flew to Nepal, with a sinking heart looking out the porthole at the tops of the Himalayas shining through the clouds

We must not stop and continue to expand our horizon - both in life and in work.
Creativity for me is the meaning of life.
To the photo, oddly enough, I came from painting. The pictures served as sketches for pictures, when states of nature are fleeting, or when it is impossible to write a sketch.

Only later came the understanding that photography is also an art that has no less opportunity to create its own worlds than classical painting.
Nature inspires me: landscapes, details, patterns, textures.
The main secret of a good photo is to love the object, to admire it.

The best teachers in the world of photography for me are books and direct shooting.
Now there are many opportunities to learn through the Internet - photoblogs, workshops, websites of famous Russian and foreign photomasters. It is the opportunity to see the world achievements in photography, in my opinion, the most valuable- you need to constantly compete in skill in a good manner.

When you are shooting near as well as you, or worse than you, it stops development. But when you see works that you like to the moon ... It gives a push in the right direction.
Now for me such an example is Sebastiano Salgado. His footage showed the power of black and white photography. Earlier, I shot exclusively in color, not understanding the point of limiting my palette. And only after seeing the amazing exhibition “Genesis”, I realized the incredible richness of the tone of black and white photographs, their volume, unattainable in color. Salgado showed me a completely new world.Again there is much to strive for.

Professional secrets are constantly changing, something appears new, something is transformed. There are no immutable rules.
Now, for example, it is interesting for me to transmit motion in pictures, and not necessarily real. This may be the visual movement of color spots that create, bringing various objects of the desired shade close to the lens, in the area of unsharpness. Framing is no less important than the main subject, especially in macro photography. Therefore, having found an attractive object, I no less carefully search for a suitable background, changing the angle, removing disturbing details or adding new ones.
My shooting techniques are also fickle.Favorite now - shooting with long exposures and camera movement, stacking, multiexposure, and both in the camera and in “Photoshop”.

"Waltz of the Flowers". Main double
Camera: Nikon D800

3-frame sharpness stacking
In general, “Photoshop” - an essential tool of creativity in our time. The human eye is such a perfect tool that the best cameras are not yet able to create a picture that is similar in color and color to what we see. And those who advocate for the purity of the photograph, in fact show in their works how the world sees the camera, and not the person. My processing in “Photoshop” takes much more time than shooting. In order for the picture to reflect what I saw, it is often necessary to conjure both with the expansion of the dynamic range, and with the color correction, and with the matching of the sharpness.

Criticism should be approached selectively. If this is a review from a knowledgeable person, and in essence, with examples and options for correcting errors, it is very important - so I will definitely listen to them. But sometimes criticism is stupid, malicious, out of envy or lack of understanding of the question - such is capable of doing harm, especially to a newcomer or indecisive person.
I like to take other photographers to my favorite places, to share the methods of shooting found. We are all so different, we all have different views.Working together allows you to see the object from an unexpected side, to which you yourself might never have thought of. A sort of joint brainstorming.

Stacking in sharpness of 2 frames
Contests, in turn, help to understand the general trends of modern photography and may give rise to unexpected ideas.I take part in a variety of competitions. Somewhere I win, somewhere I don’t even qualify for the final, and in some (for example, North without Borders) is now a jury member.
Shooting my dream is always ahead. Plans very much.Gradually, as the accumulation of funds, they are executed. The closest targets are Kyrgyzstan, Kamchatka, and the furthest are Iceland, Peru, Bolivia, and Madagascar. And the blue dream is New Zealand.
New places are not revealed for me from the first time.. The first trip - a kind of "adjustment", intelligence. And only the subsequent ones bring tangible results.

To make good photos, I have to live in an interesting place for at least a week, and preferably a month.Wander alone, at different times of the day and in different weather. The best time to shoot is the transition between seasons and seasons, the beginning or end of the monsoon. The more often and dramatically the weather changes, the more surprising the shots can be.
Beauty always follows the storm.

I want to wish everyone to learn to see the unusual in the ordinary.Extend your boundaries of perception and creativity. Do not stop there - move forward!
And I want to wish myself at last to earn a living and to travel only with my beloved work, without wasting precious time on additional work. And health, so that the beloved mountains let me pass to their heights ”.
