The Boeing 757 airliner was designed to replace the Model 727, and the design work on the new product started in early 1976. Initially, several variations of aircraft design were considered at once. For reasons of economy, the designers decided to use two motors in the car, which were supplied by Rolls-Royce or General Electric and installed on pylons under the wings. As for the fuselage of the novelty, it was formed by assembling the corresponding sections from the 727 and 737 series modifications. The tail of the new liners was first made in the form of "T", but over time, it was replaced by the classic version. The wings, in comparison with the previous model, have become less swept.
In the summer of 1978, the first showing of the Boeing 757 aircraft took place. The experts' testimonies testified to the bright future of the novelty, therefore, starting from August, the American manufacturing company began to receive orders for it.There were so many of them that six months later the model was put into mass production. February 19, 1982 in the sky rose the first production machine of this series. In December of the same year, the Boeing 757 was successfully certified in the United States, and a month later - in Europe.
The model itself is a cantilever low plane, which is built on the basis of an aerodynamic scheme. In the structure of the fuselage, which is an all-metal semi-monocoque, only advanced carbon fiber, Kevlar and durable aluminum alloys are used. In such a model as the Boeing 757, the location of the seats provides for the placement of passengers in an amount from 178 to 231. Each of the swept wings consists of two spars and is equipped with flaps and slats along its entire length. The chassis has three pillars and a controlled front pillar, and each of the doors and emergency exits is equipped with a separate inflatable ladder. The development of aeronautical equipment for the Boeing 757 series liners was carried out by Colins. Since 1990, the model is also equipped with a system that warns the crew about the dangerous proximity of other objects.Stable temperature and pressure in the cabin are maintained by two air conditioners. It should be noted and the fact of the high unification of this liner with the 767 series, because it has interchangeable are 62.5% of the units and components. The cruising speed of the model is 935 km / h, and the range, depending on the type of engines used, ranges from 6430 to 7240 km.
The serial production of the Boeing 757 aircraft was completed in October 2004. During this time 1050 copies of the airliner left the assembly line. Over the entire period of production, more than 1,300 subcontractors have participated in the production, representing not only the United States, but also other countries. For the first time on the line, this model came out on January 1, 1983 with the American airline "Eastern". Now the liner is used by 60 companies from 30 world countries, including Russia, both on domestic and international transport.
