Postcard "Owls"

Do you want to create a unique, bright and fairly simple to do card with your own hands? Then this master class will help in this. To perform the work will not need to use any unusual materials. In addition, such an article can be easily implemented by school-age children. To make a postcard, you just need to have on hand a color thick paper or cardboard of the desired color, glue, scissors, patience and a desire to create a unique work with your own hands.
So, we will prepare:
1. Thick cardboard A4 green - for the base;
2. Design paper green with polka dots (you can use a cardboard of green shades with a different pattern, for example, in a strip);
3. 3-4 types of cardboard or designer paper of green shades - with patterns, monophonic;
4. Cardboard - brown, white, milky (if not you can take white), orange;
5. Foamed double sided tape;
6. Black gel pen;
7. Glue, small scissors, simple pencil, ruler.
We begin to carry out the elements of our postcards.To do this, take a brown cardboard and cut a tree out of it, the height of which will be 12 cm, the width at the bottom is 11, the width of the tree at the top is about 8 cm.
We make “weed” of green cardboard, the width of which will be 13 cm.
We cut a circle with a diameter of 8 cm out of black cardboard or thick paper. Its shape does not have to be perfectly round, as this will be a hollow for our owls, so the use of compasses is not necessary.
From different paper of green shades (with patterns, monophonic, polka-dot) we make leaves, the shape of which can be different. These elements need to perform 11-13 pieces.

Then we carry out the details for the owls. Cut brown heads with a diameter of 3.5-4 cm from brown cardboard, then two elements for the body, four small elements for the ears.
Cut out eyes from white cardboard with a diameter of less than 1 cm. This is where the use of scissors for small parts is an advantage.
From the orange cardboard cut two elements for the beak. And also we cut out two parts that will serve as paws, as in the photo.
Cut out two elements of milky-colored paper that will be attached to owl breasts.

We start to connect the details and perform two owls. To do this, we attach double-sided foam tape to the lower brown part.

We take green A4 paper to create the basis of the postcard. The dimensions of the finished base should be 14.5x14.5 cm or 15x15 cm. To do this, the dimensions of the sheet to be cut should be 30x15 cm. Then we can fold the finished sheet in half to form a square-shaped base.
From a design paper in polka-dots we cut out a square 13х13 cm.
