In the photo - the view from the bell tower of the Ascension Church. To the right of the church, the edge of the Kharitonov-Rastorguevs, the richest merchants of Yekaterinburg, is visible. On the left you can see a one-story stone house. This is the infamous house of the civil engineer Ipatiev, where they were kept under arrest and were shot on the night of July 16-17, 1918, members of the family of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II. In 1927–1932, the Museum of Revolution was located in the house. In 1975, the house was decided to demolish. In 2003on this place built the Temple-on-the-Blood.
