In the elections on the territory of the Ryazan region, 6,01076 people participated, or 65.13% of the total number of voters in the region. Compared to the previous presidential elections, the turnout percentage rose slightly (+ 0.98%), and in absolute terms, it completely decreased by 19891 people. (-3.20%). This is partly due to the reduction in the list number of voters: since 2012, they have decreased by 45114 people, or by 4.66%. It should be noted that in past years, turnout for the presidential elections in the region also did not differ dramatically: in 2004 - 61.48%, in 2008 - 61.35%, in 2012 - 64.15%.
Even with such a relatively stable turnout, the participants of our election special project “Election of the President of Russia 2018. Voting on March 18” could not more or less accurately predict the percentage of voters who will take part in the elections. Recall that 50 regions with the maximum number of voters were selected for the project, each in February and March collected the opinions of three experts on turnout and, based on their answers, built a consensus forecast on turnout in a particular region. The consensus turnout forecast in the Ryazan region in February was 54%, in March - 60%.
The election commission of the Ryazan region recorded the following voting results in the final protocol: Vladimir Putin - 76.34%, Pavel Grudinin - 12.65%, Vladimir Zhirinovsky - 6.17%, Ksenia Sobchak - 1.29%, Sergey Baburin - 0.68% (4094 votes), Grigory Yavlinsky - 0.68% (4068 votes), Maxim Suraykin - 0.62%, Boris Titov - 0.61%.
Vladimir Putin set a new record in the region for the result of "Kremlin candidates", slightly improving his 2004 figure (73.22%). In 2012, he received 59.74%, and Dmitry Medvedev in 2008 - 60.82%. Candidates from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the LDPR, as in most regions, have a more or less noticeable decline compared with the results of the 2012 elections: Gennady Zyuganov then scored 21.42%, and Vladimir Zhirinovsky - 7.58%.
At the final meeting of the regional election committee, Deputy Chairman of the Commission Dmitry Bokov reported that on election day, 14 complaints were received, which were mostly informational in nature or requests for clarification or clarification of certain points of the electoral legislation and did not affect the election results.
In the United Observation Headquarters, which was organized by the Golos movement together with the headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak and Grigory Yavlinsky, they say that there were violations after all.On the "Map of violations" in the end got 59 messages. Here is what is said in the final press release of the headquarters: "In general, the Election Day was held without loud scandals and emergencies. At most of the sites where representatives of the Ryazan Joint Monitoring Headquarters worked, the turnout was average and above average. There were no deletions from the sites Most of the violations recorded on the "Map" of violations related to the rights of observers, members of commissions, and media representatives (29). Violations were also found in voting at home, including manipulation of "Registers for voting I am outside the polling station, "illegal voting, non-inclusion in the voter lists, violations in the design of the voter lists and the polling station, strangers in the polling station."
Lyudmila Kibalnikova, chairman of the Ryazan regional branch of the Opora Rossii public organization, shares her opinion on the level of organization of the campaign: “For me, voting day is a feeling of celebration and good mood. I feel that the state of the celebration was not very long in elections. In March year it was repeated.March 18, 2018 in the Ryazan region was a holiday. People went to the polls in the morning. <...> There were no violations. Commissions worked well. The organization of the elections was top notch. On a five-point scale, I would give five extra points for holding elections in Ryazan. "
Olga Karkina, a member of the Public Chamber of the Ryazan Region, noted a high voter turnout: “On election day in the Ryazan region there was an enormous voter turnout. I myself went to the districts and saw that from the very morning people were going to the polling stations in an endless stream. <...> At all polling stations, small and large, there were observers from the Public Chamber of the Ryazan Region. Also, observers from United Russia were present at each polling station. <...> In general, the March elections left only positive emotions. "
